Avocados are high in fiber, and fiber is great to promote weight loss and keep us regular.  They are high in omega -3 fatty acids which lowers the risk of heart disease. You will find plenty of potassium in this luscious fruit which is important to our metabolism and maintaining a balance in our body.

The vitamins in an avocado are B vitamins along with vitamin K and vitamin E. B vitamins also help your body’s metabolism and promote a healthy skin tone.  Vitamin K plays a fundamental role in making sure that our bones grow properly, and that our bone density is well maintained later in life. The final vitamin which is Vitamin E is an antioxidant and it also promotes circulation of blood to our scalp to increase hair growth. Now that you realize that avocados have so much more to offer you other than guacamole, perhaps you might try it more often.
