Health Wise Series #10: What’s the flack on flaxseed?

Flaxseed when consumed after it has been ground provides extraordinary health benefits. This plant is high in fiber, Omega-3, and lignans.

Because of its crunchy texture, it offers a wide range of uses. You can sprinkle it over your oatmeal or yogurt. Include it in your smoothies. Or use it as an egg substitute. You can even make flaxseed muffins by adding your favorite fruit.

Flaxseed also offers the health benefits noted below. For more information on this great plant, you can watch the video which features Natalie sharing her expertise on flaxseed. However please consult your doctor for specific questions regarding how flaxseed could impact your health.
